INTEGRATED OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE TRAINING

CARDIORESPIRATORY | FLEXIBILITY | CORE | BALANCE | PLYOMETRIC | SAQ | RESISTANCE

SCIENTIFIC, EVIDENCE BASED FITNESS TRAINING TO SUPPORT YOUR WING CHUN GOALS

INTEGRATED TRAINING CONCEPTS

Integrated Optimum Performance Training is a concept that uses all forms of exercise as part of a progressive system. These forms of training include cardiorespiratory training, flexibility, core, balance, plyometric, speed, agility and quickness (SAQ) and resistance training to achieve optimal health and fitness.

The approach is extremely successful in helping students reduce their body fat, increase lean muscle mass or simply improve their performance in Wing Chun Kuen.

Integrated training concepts:

  • Cardiorespiratory

  • Flexibility training

  • Core

  • Balance

  • Plyometric

  • SAQ

  • Resistance

ABOUT THE PROGRAMMES

The integrated training programmes are divided into three levels, endurance, strength and power and further subdivided into five distinct phases of training: endurance, strength endurance, hypertrophy, maximal strength and power. Each phase is designed to produce a specific, physiological adaptation in the human body over a 12-week period.

Ultimately, exercise is a game of stimulus and response and the training we provide addresses all of these variables in a logical, systematic and progressive way. For example, if a student wishes to focus on one aspect of their Wing Chun (kicking) training, they can incorporate a 12-week integrated flexibility training programme to increase a range of motion in a joint to kick at any height or in any direction.

To incorporate integrated training into your Wing Chun Kung Fu training, all students are required to take part in a health and fitness screening and consultation session.
